Authorize.net Payment Gateway Currently Down
Around 1:30am (EST) the Authorize.net payment gateway went down. The source of their issue has not been released to the public as of yet thus leaving many merchants and companies in the dark.
Until Authorize.net has resolved their issue we are encouraging all of our Miva Merchant clients whom use Authorize.net to switch the payment method in Miva to ‘Credit Card Payment with Simple Validation’. This payment method simply collects the card data so that it can be manually processed at a later time.
If you do not know how to switch your payment method in Miva to credit card payment with simple validation check the steps below or feel free to contact us at 1-877-907-3277.
Here are the work around steps to enable CC w/ Simple Validation:
1. In your Miva Merchant admin under the Payment Configuration section, you can put a check next to ‘Credit Card Payment with Simple Validation’ and click update. This enables the credit card payment with simple validation method.
2. Now you will need to access the credit card payment module’s interface to remove any card types that you do not accept. Depending on your Miva version you will click on the link OR tab named ‘Credit Card Payment with Simple Validation’ to gain access.
3. Now access the Authorize.net module’s interface and turn off ALL card types. This will leave the module in place but it will not be used during checkout.
4. Once the issue with Authorize.net has been resolved you will need to turn the card types back on for AuthNet and delete the card types that are in the credit card payment with simple validation.
(*You will not be able to remove the module itself since orders have been placed using it.)
5. You now have the task of manually processing the orders that were placed using the credit card payment with simple validation method. You can process these orders in your Authorize.net virtual terminal that is linked to your AuthNet account.
