Authorize.net Payment Gateway Issue w/ Miva Merchant stores
As of now there is an issue with the Authorize.net payment gateway servers. This issue is affecting communication between Miva Merchant stores and their servers. The Miva Merchant development team is currently working with Authorize.net to resolve this issue quickly. They have found the source of the issue and we anticipate the roll out to be completed by late this afternoon.
In the interim we are suggesting to Authorize.net/Miva clients to temporarily disable the AuthNet module in your stores and enable credit card payment with simple validation. This will allow you to accept credit card payments until the issue is resolved. Please note that the ‘credit card payment w/ simple validation’ module only collects the payment details. It does not process the orders so you will need to manually run the orders through your Authorize.net merchant account.
Here are the work around steps to enable CC w/ Simple Validation:
1. In your Miva admin under the Payment Configuration section, you can put a check next to ‘Credit Card Payment with Simple Validation’ and click update. This enables the credit card payment with simple validation method.
2. Now you need to disable the Authorize.net module so you will need to go into the ‘modules’ section in your admin.
** If using Miva 5.5 this is located under ‘Global Settings’. Just click the ‘plus sign to expose the modules link’.
** If using Miva 4 this is located near the top left area of your admin tree. Just click the blue arrow next to modules to expose the list.
3. Once you have found the Authorize.net module in the list, click on the edit button to the right of the name.
4. Uncheck the box and click update. This deactivates the module. At this point you should run a test order to make sure all is well.
* Once the Authnet issue is resolved you will need to follow the steps above but this time you will deactivate ‘Credit Card Payment with Simple Validation’ and re-enable Authorize.net.
