Hocks Pharmacy has been an independent pharmacy since 1948, launching their first website in 1997 from the basement of the pharmacy. Since then Hocks.com has increased their products and quadrupled the number of full-time employees. Today Hocks.com ships to all 50 states and has over 9,000 items ranging from diabetic supplies, to health and beauty aids, to smoking cessation products.
By 2004 the Hocks management team realized Hocks.com was falling short of expectations and was no longer in step with their stated objective to "...keep the look and feel of our website modern, efficient, and user friendly." The Hocks team members wanted to be able to communicate regularly with a partner that could provide a robust e-commerce solution, host the site, and do both design and development work.
